Penn Lindsay and Chris French Join Dakota Partners
Dakota Partners today announced the appointments of Penn Lindsay as Vice President of Acquisitions and Development for New England and Christopher French as Vice President of Acquisitions and Development for Maryland and Virginia.
“We are very excited to have Penn and Chris join our organization,” said Dakota EVP of Acquisitions and Development, Cheryl Stulpin. “Their experience and skills will be instrumental in leading their respective teams and expanding Dakota’s portfolio both in states where we already have a presence and into new territory.”
With nearly twenty years of real estate development experience, Penn possesses the expertise, knowledge, and leadership skills to manage his team as Vice President of Acquisitions and Development for the Northeast region. Prior to joining Dakota, Penn was VP of Development for a national developer of affordable housing based in Portland, Maine with a focus on LIHTC communities. Before that, he was a Project Manager for a Boston-based housing developer with specialized expertise in historic and adaptive reuse projects. In these roles, Penn has worked on a wide range of project types and all stages of the development process. Penn holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
As Vice President of Acquisitions and Development for the Maryland and Virginia region, Chris is responsible for expanding Dakota’s portfolio in the area and managing a team of Development Directors and Project Managers. Chris is a multi-talented real estate development executive, former banker, and underwriter effective at maximizing project success. With more than two decades of experience, Chris leverages his abilities in property development and highly complex financial structuring and property analysis to lead his team. Prior to joining Dakota, Chris was Vice President of Acquisitions for a national affordable housing developer and founded and managed his own affordable housing company, CRF Development. Chris holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University and a BS from Cornell University.
Together with Brian Donato, Vice President of Acquisitions and Development for the New York market, the additions of Penn and Chris have solidified the leadership of Dakota’s Development Team, which is now well-positioned for the future.
As a real estate developer and builder, Dakota Partners develops affordable, workforce and market-rate housing communities across New England, New York and the mid-Atlantic states. At the core of every project is Dakota’s mission to create housing that matters – to residents, the community, and the environment.
